Russell Byers
Mr. Byers is the founder and president of Laurel Ridge Management, a private investment company that invests in and supports early-stage and start-up ventures. He also serves as a trustee of R.K. Mellon Foundation and the Waterfowl Research Foundation.
In addition to his experience on the grant making side, he has had extensive experience in the not-for-profit world, as a co-founder and chair of the EcoLogic Development Fund, a 501c3. He sits on the Trustees Council of The National Gallery of Art, is on the board of the Green Vale School, and serves as the chair of Crowdster.com, a portfolio company that has an online fundraising and crowdfunding platform for nonprofits.
Mr. Byers began his career working on Wall Street as an analyst at Brown Brothers Harriman & Company. He has a B.A. from Skidmore College.
